Transition Cosmic Power was born from the successful merge of different individualities vibrating towards similar intents. The band offers a true interaction between authentic and ardent musicians. Transition Cosmic Power’s music is both luminous and dynamic. The band started as a quintet under the name Transition - piano, double bass, saxophone, drums – with inspired, skilled musicians formerly from «Le Collectif Mu”, a mythical French Jazz collective. They were joined by the ethereal voice of young & gifted Clara Simonoviez. Transition has grown and recently become TRANSITION COSMIC POWER !
The new formula, as a sextet, was formed live for the Crescent Jazz Festival. The group has created arrangements for 3 voices, saxophone and percussions. They were joined during the studio session by the talented vocalist Shirley «Bunnie» Foy from New York, who’s played with artists such as John Coltrane, Archie Shepp...
The band has released a beautiful & confidential album and is now
back with Soulab record label. The upcoming album shows genuine
alchemy between spontaneity, strength and subtlety.
It’s not Free Jazz, Vocal Jazz, Cosmic Jazz… it’s Powerful Jazz !
The repertoire is essentially built on the band’s own compositions and
alternates vocals & instrumentals tracks, English & French texts...
